Jimmy worked for two international advertising agencies before establishing the fund raising and publicity department of a national charity. He was the first Youth Director of the Conservative Party and was a Parliamentary Candidate. He ran his own consultancy business (Gordon Coote Associates) for over twenty years where at one time three out of the five fastest growing accountancy firms were clients; international clients included Deloittes, Disney and Honeywell.
