Stephen BennettCEOStephen founded IDG in early 2000. In his early career he was a partner in an accountancy training college, and joined Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (now part of PWC) in 1978 as Director of Studies. He became a partner in 1982 and subsequently served on the Firm’s central management team as assistant managing partner and head of Mergers and Acquisitions for UK and Europe. He also had major responsibilities for communications and senior people development in the UK practice of some 5,500 staff. He left Deloitte in 1990 to become Chairman and CEO of a UK PLC listed on the main UK Stock Exchange. The Group was sold in 2000 and Stephen went back to his “people “roots by forming IDG. He is also a partner in Buckingham Corporate Finance, an M&A boutique specialising in mid market transactions. He is an experienced and well known speaker on business and financial topics and has written a book and numerous articles.
