The Sandhurst Business Challenge

Success again in 2011

In August 2011, we once again ran the Sandhurst Business Challenge. This year we had 15 teams from some of the UK's most well known organisations take part in a demanding 2 day charity event at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. All teams worked tremendously hard on for the challenge itself, and also during the fundraising: we stand to have raised well over our target of £40,000 for Help for Heroes.

IDG ran the first Sandhurst Business Challenge in August 2010. It was a unique team building event which took place at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Participants helped to raise over £30,000 for H4H.

We will again be running the event in 2012 (Sandhurst's 200 year Anniversary) on the 16th/17th August 2012.

The aim of the Challenge is to:

  • Create high performance teams within business
  • Develop team cohesion
  • Enhance leadership skills
  • Develop talent within the organisations who took part

The Sandhurst Business Challenge provided an excellent opportunity to achieve these aims.

“People are the most important asset at many companies and it is a challenge for every training / HR professional to find different and innovative ways to develop the talent within their leadership teams.

Sodexo Motivation Solutions is no different and it was very positive to hear about the Sandhurst Business Challenge, which delivers a fresh approach away from the standard leadership / team building courses.

The Sandhurst Business Challenge is ambitious and imaginative, it tests every aspect of team working. It is mentally and physically challenging for those who take part - the result an exhausted but determined team rather than a group of individuals, and a great opportunity to raise money for a worthy cause”

Fiona Shields, Operations Director, Sodexo Motivation Solutions
