Craig Preston took up his post as the newly appointed Managing Director on 1st September.

Craig is a former Army officer who previously worked with IDG for almost 5 years between 2003 and 2007 as Project Director of the IDG/Sandhurst partnering agreement. He also worked as a business speaker, coach and senior consultant on a number of large client leadership development programmes. His work with commercial and sporting clients contributed to him later being appointed the Head of People Development with the Rugby Football Union (RFU). Over the last few years he has forged a very successful career with Aon, the world’s largest insurance broker and established himself as the Area Director of a large region of the UK.

Prior to first joining IDG, Craig was an Army Officer serving globally before taking up a post at The Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. Following his successful Army career he joined Coca-Cola in a senior sales and operational management role. It is this powerful blend of commercial, military and consulting experience which has given Craig his expertise on leadership principles and their application in the workplace.

As Managing Director of IDG, Craig is responsible for the global operational leadership of the business and works closely with a range of IDG clients, designing and delivering a variety of bespoke leadership development initiatives.
