Interactive Induction Programme for World’s Largest Bank


IDG were invited by a global bank to deliver an interactive Induction Programme designed as part of a strategic overview to set the scene for each of its individual business unit and departmental induction events for new entrants. The aim of the central programme is to ensure a consistent understanding of the strategic goal, purpose, values and behaviours of the organisation. The programme was designed and introduced to help embed the culture of the business and the expectations of the organisation to all new starters, within their first 90 days of employment. The delegates were from all functions and levels within the business, from apprentice’s right through to MD level.



The requirement was to lead the delivery of a series of high impact, interactive, full day workshops, with each one targeting 100-120 new employees. This includes the use of a variety of facilitation styles and delivery methods such as video, audio, social media, experiential learning and role-play. The programme consist of a central introduction followed by 5 interactive “Zones” and a final close session.



IDG provides resources to lead the event and to facilitate each of the interactive zones.  Each zone focuses on one of the client company’s core values and each is completely different in design and layout.  Delegates visit each zone for 45 minutes, making them fast paced and high impact, giving details about the business and clarifying expectations about the behaviours expected of them as new starters. While the content and the learning outcomes are the same, the experience of IDG’s facilitators enables a tailoring to the culture and environment of each location.



Workshops are measured through iPad evaluation and participant feedback is consistently positive. Delegates showed particular enthusiasm for the combination of individual reflection and commitments that are pledged at the end of the programme
