The official website of Jake Meyer's expedition to climb k2He’s Done It!
On 21st July 2018, Jake Meyer became only the 10th Briton ever to reach the summit of K2! After previous attempts in 2005 and 2016, it was third time lucky for Jake and his team.
Here you can read Jake’s thrilling blog of the expedition, which includes not only the details of the incredible summit, but also his impromptu attempt to summit nearby Broad Peak whilst acclimatising a few days earlier, the rescue of a stricken climber, and the tragic deaths of two fellow mountaineers.
Furthermore, the blog delves into what it takes physically, mentally and logistically to climb K2, a mountain acknowledged by National Geographic as “the ultimate challenge for the world’s best mountaineers”.
As part of his 2018 K2 expedition, Jake is raising money for Walking With The Wounded. You can find out more about the charity by clicking the logo below. If you would like to support Jake and his nominated charity, please click Virgin Giving button below.
