IDG in Jordan

We have been working in Jordan since 2007 providing quantifiable business improvement benefits to our clients by improving the behaviour of their people

IDG has been present in Jordan since 2007 and has worked with a variety of organisations in both the public and private sector, including Ministries, banks, NGO’s and schools.
One of our most successful programmes in Jordan is run for the King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) – Civil Service Development Programme (CSDP). It has been running for 9 years and has over 300 alumni since it started.
The KAFD programme consists of 3 modules that run in both Jordan and at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, UK. Throughout the duration of the programme the delegates are assigned teams and work on projects which in turn are of a benefit to the Kingdom.

The aim of the programme is to develop the public sector, improve the skills of its employees and to enhance the services the sector provides its citizens. It also looks to enhance managerial skills through focusing on policy formulation, leadership development and team working behaviours. The programme continues to develop individuals in the public sector and NGO’s to this day.

Another type of programme we run in Jordan are Youth Development Programmes. IDG has been working with youth in the region since 2004, originally in Bahrain running a development programme for the Court of the Crown Prince.

For 4 years, along with KAFD, IDG ran a youth programme for public schools across Jordan, covering the north, middle and south. The first part of the programme took place over a 3-week period and the second part a year later where the students are invited back to enhance what they learnt and see how far they have developed. Around 500 students experienced this programme in Jordan over the 4 years.

IDG can offer a range of programmes for youth. These programmes could be a series of leadership weekends spread across the school year or a longer summer programme over a period of 1-2 weeks. We work with both public and private schools and offer a variety of options. Our programmes are bespoke and can be altered to fit with the needs of the students, both in content and timing.

A recent programme that we ran was for the Central Bank of Jordan along with the Institute of Banking Studies. This programme was aimed at senior members in the bank and was split into 3 modules running over the course of 6 months. This took place in Amman and was designed to look at enhancing the leadership and management capabilities of executive and assistant managers, helping inspire a shared vision and set a clear direction for the future.
